On April 8, a ship with six passenger carriages assembled in Hungary for the Egyptian National Railways entered the port of Alexandria, writes Világgazdaság citing Transmashholding (TMH). Thus, the total number of carriages delivered to Egypt, including deliveries from the Tver Carriage Works (TVZ), exceeded 300.
At present, 22 more carriages produced at TVZ are on their way to Egypt. The ship with them is expected to arrive in Alexandria in mid-April.
By the end of this year, Dunakeszi Járműjavító Kft. plans to ship to Egypt up to 25 carriages monthly. To this end, the staff of the company employed in the assembly of carriages for Egypt will be doubled. It will be 180 people.
