On May 21, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán informed that the country has practically overcome the third wave of coronavirus, and a new goal, i.e. 5 million vaccinated citizens, will be achieved next weekend. This will lift the curfew that has been in effect in the country since November.

The Prime Minister added that in the second half of 2022, the production of a Hungarian drug for coronavirus infection will be launched in Debrecen, thus Hungary will become self-sufficient in vaccines.
