According to raw data, in the fourth quarter of 2020, Hungary's GDP went down by 3.7% compared to the same period in 2019, and by 4.3% according to seasonally and calendar-adjusted data. Compared to the previous quarter – also according to seasonally and calendar-adjusted data – the performance of the economy increased by 1.1% due to the growth of industrial production and positive dynamics of the ICT sector.
At the end of 2020, the volume of GDP turned out to be 5.1% less than in the previous year, however, it is better than the indicators for the EU, where, on average, at the end of 2020, the decline in GDP was -6.4%.
